The newly upgraded "Deep Sea Adventure" immersive interactive projection exhibit at the Interactive Aquarium has attracted a large number of citizens, especially families, to experience it. The exhibit uses advanced projection technology to bring the deep-sea world indoors, enabling real-time interaction between visitors and marine life.
Breaking the limitations of traditional aquariums' "distant viewing," it allows visitors to truly enter the "deep-sea environment." In the "Deep Sea Adventure" exhibit, visitors don't need to wear any equipment; simply wave and jump in the projected virtual ocean scene, and clownfish will follow in groups, sea turtles will slowly swim towards their hands, and they can even "draw" small fish and let them "swim" into the virtual ocean to interact with other creatures.
Such realistic interactive effects rely on the robust support of core projection equipment.
The Flyin DLP Laser Projectors series includes the FLY-E550U laser projector.
This device features a 0.8-inch 16:10 DMD chip and a DLP single-chip projection system, boasting a native WUXGA 1920×1200 resolution and supporting native 4K 3840×2160 image output. This provides a delicate and clear visual foundation for virtual ocean scenes, accurately rendering even the textures of small fish scales and the details of seawater ripples.
With a maximum projection area of 300 inches in the exhibition area, and the need to cope with varying indoor lighting conditions, extremely high demands were placed on projection brightness and contrast. The FLY-E550U achieves 5500 lumens in both ISO brightness and center brightness, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, and a static contrast ratio of 1500:1. Combined with ≥90% JBMA uniformity, even in naturally lit areas of the exhibition area, the image remains clear and transparent, with the deep blue gradation of the seawater and the color gradations of the marine life remaining unaffected.
"Especially the dynamic contrast, which presents the natural and realistic transition of light from shallow to deep water in the deep sea, giving visitors a strong sense of spatial depth." For public venues, the stability and lifespan of equipment are equally crucial.
The FLY-E550U uses a laser light source with a lifespan of up to 20,000 hours in standard mode and extended to 25,000 hours in energy-saving mode. Based on 10 hours of daily operation for the aquarium, it can be used continuously for over 5 years without replacing the light source, significantly reducing subsequent maintenance costs. Its 1.2-1.56:1 standard lens supports 1.3x zoom and can be replaced with lenses ranging from 0.4:1 to 2.16:1. Combined with ±40% vertical and ±20% horizontal lens shift, as well as ±15° keystone correction and four-corner correction functions, it perfectly adapts to complex installation environments such as curved screens and multi-screen splicing in exhibition areas.
